The Chairman of the Asi-Dosunmu Royal Family in Lagos, Alhaji Raufu Ishola-Lemomu, also known as Bobo-Raufu, has passed away at the age of 78. He breathed his last at his Apongbon residence on Lagos Island on Friday, December 29, 2023.
Major General Tajudeen Olanrewaju (Rtd), former Minister of Communications and cousin to the late Alhaji Raufu Ishola-Lemomu, expressed his deep sorrow over the loss.
Alhaji Raufu Lemomu, a dedicated custodian of the Asi-Dosunmu family history in Lagos, will be laid to rest today, Saturday, December 30, at the Okesuna Cemetery in Lagos Island at 2:30 pm.
“I mourn the passing of my first cousin, Alhaji Raufu Bobo-Lemomu.
He departed on Friday and will be interred at Okesuna Cemetery on Lagos Island today at 2:30 pm. As the Chairman of Asi-Dosunmu Royal Family, he tirelessly upheld the family name,” stated Major General Tajudeen Olanrewaju (Rtd).
Major General Tajudeen Olanrewaju (Rtd) emphasized the profound pain caused by Alhaji Raufu Ishola-Lemomu’s demise, underscoring the significant role he played within the Dosunmu royal family of Lagos. The late Alhaji Raufu Ishola-Lemomu is survived by his wife and children.
