In a momentous celebration of his 35 years on the throne, Oba Dr. Adedapo Adewale Tejuoso, the Osile Oke Ona Egbaland, has unveiled plans to appoint a new chief in Oke Ona Egbaland.

The announcement came during a press conference held at his residence in Ibara Housing Estate, Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Friday.

Reflecting on his reign, Oba Tejuoso attributed his longevity on the throne to the grace of God and urged others to embrace faith, stating, “Accept Jesus in your life; that’s the secret of joy.”

The anniversary commenced with the Karunwi Unity Cup, a football tournament involving ten schools in Oke Ona Egbaland.

The Chairman of Finance and Fundraising for the 35th Anniversary was represented by Ekerin of Oke Ona, Muheedeen Kazeem, he stated that the tournament kicked off with four games at Ebenezer Grammar School.

He stressed that the final match is scheduled to take place at the MKO Stadium in Kuto, Abeokuta.

He further explained that the monarch has arranged for a 35-hour marathon praise session at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), featuring 55 gospel singers from both local and international backgrounds.

He added that anniversary marks a significant milestone in Oba Tejuoso’s reign, highlighting his commitment to community unity and cultural heritage in Oke Ona Egbaland.
