Ekaette Akpabio, wife of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, has vehemently refuted accusations of sexual harassment leveled against her husband by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, recently alleged during an interview with Arise Television that the Senate President had subjected her to sexual advances and subsequently blocked her motions in the Senate.

In response to these claims, Mrs. Akpabio addressed reporters at her Abuja residence on Friday, labeling the allegations as baseless fabrications.

She emphasized that the purported incidents described by Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan did not occur, citing her presence at her family residence on the alleged date, December 8th, 2023.

Highlighting the longstanding amicable relationship between both families predating Senator Natasha’s marriage, Mrs. Akpabio expressed dismay over the allegations tarnishing her husband’s reputation.

She praised Senator Akpabio’s commitment to family values and his advocacy for women’s inclusion in governance, which she stated preceded his tenure as Senate President.

Mrs. Akpabio concluded by urging against the spread of false accusations and announced her intent to pursue legal action to clear her husband’s name.

She underscored their family’s dedication to integrity and called for the public to respect their privacy during this challenging time.
