Armed Gang Abducts Three Workers in Brazen Attack On Ogun Poultry Farm

In a daring raid, six suspected hoodlums targeted a poultry farm in Atoyo town, Itele, Ogun State, at approximately 5 pm on Saturday. The assailants abducted three workers, including the owner, leaving the community on edge.

While two suspects have been apprehended by the state police command, the fate of the kidnapped victims remains uncertain at the time of this report. 

Sources indicate that the criminals initially seized five individuals from the farm, but later released the owner and one other person after taking them to a forest and confiscating their mobile phones.

Speaking on the incident, a local source, preferring anonymity due to security concerns, revealed the unfolding details to our reporter.. The remaining three victims, including a female worker and a driver who had come for eggs, are still held captive.

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the abduction, highlighting that the case is being treated as a kidnapping. 

She disclosed that the two arrested suspects are assisting in the investigation, and efforts are underway, involving police personnel, local hunters, and other security agencies, to rescue the remaining victims.

Odutola stated, “The two victims that were released have identified the two suspects we arrested after our men, in collaboration with local hunters and other security agencies, combed the bush.” 

As the community anxiously awaits the safe return of the abducted workers, law enforcement intensifies its efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice.
