The Nigeria Police Force on Friday in Lafia presented cheques valued at N61 million to families of officers who died on duty in Nasarawa State. A statement by Ramhan Nasel, the spokesman of the Nasarawa Command of the Force, said that Mohammed Baba, the commissioner, presented the cheques. A Federal High Court in Lagos has adjourned until 22 June, the money laundering trial of a former Speaker of the Lagos House of Assembly, Adeyemi Ikuforiji. The case which was fixed for continuation of trial on 1st and 2nd of June has now been adjourned by the court until 22 June. Ikuforiji is charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) alongside his former Personal Assistant, Oyebode Atoyebi. No fewer than 71 school owners, teachers and students have been arrested  for engaging in examination malpractice in Ogun,Oyo,Maiduguri and others in the ongoing 2023 May/June Senior Secondary Certificate Examination .
