The CEO of Strictly Weddings, Oluremi Samuel, who is also recognized as Senior Alaga of Nigeria (SAN), has stressed the imperative need for Nigeria’s educational systems to adopt a forward-looking approach.

The pronouncement came during a panel discussion at the second installment of the Ogun Youth Development and Empowerment Summit, meticulously organized by Junior Chamber International, Rockcity.

The event took place at the June 12 Cultural Centre in Kuto, Abeokuta, on the 10th of August, 2023.

Aligning her remarks with the event’s overarching theme, “Digital Economy: Skills and Opportunities,” Oluremi underscored the ongoing evolution of the global landscape.

She underscored the necessity for Nigeria to ride the wave of development by harmonizing its education systems with industry trends, while also infusing them with distinctive local flavors.

Oluremi, commending Junior Chamber International, Rockcity for orchestrating the event, disclosed her realization from her own vocation that the creation of a training institution for Masters of Ceremony in the event industry was warranted.

“Our educational systems must pivot toward the future. As cultures shift, we must shift in tandem,” Oluremi emphasized.

Elaborating on the transformation of traditional weddings in today’s world, she expounded on the power of digital tools to amplify personal narratives at such occasions.

Oluremi highlighted the symbiosis between the digital economy, money-making, and cultural influence, emphasizing that they coalesce seamlessly.

The luminary also emphasized the significance of involving the older generation in the digitalization journey of Nigeria’s economy, noting their pivotal role in business development within the nation.

In attendance at the event were speakers and innovators in the digital and tech domain, including luminaries like Mr. Dimeji Bello from Cardios Capital, Mr. Debo Omololu from GetFundedAfrica, Mr. Peter Onole, Mr. Emmanuel Adegoke, and Olori Aminat – Saka Matemilola, among other notable contributors to the discourse.
