The  Central Bank of Nigeria has hinted that the Federal Government spent $112.35m servicing external debt in January 2023 . The Apex bank disclosed this in it’s Weekly International Payments. The data from the CBN revealed that the amount spent in January was higher than $45.64m spent in December 2022 by 146.17 per cent. It was gathered that the Federation Account Allocation Committee shared N750.17bn among the three tiers of government in January 2023. Israel Adeleke Nnamdi Kanu’s Senior Counsel, Mike Ozekhome, on Thursday, told the Supreme Court that he is scared that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, might die in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).
