In a shocking incident, a 38-year-old Nigerian woman, Mrs. Chinyere Chukwuegbunam, with 10 children, has been arrested in Anambra State for attempting to sell two of her sons. The arrest took place in Nza, Ozubulu, and was carried out by the Commissioner for Women’s Affairs after Mrs. Chukwuegbunam allegedly sought to sell her sons for a staggering N1.8 million.  When approached by NTA News, she confessed that her intention was to raise funds to support the education and upbringing of her other children. The Ministry of Women’s Affairs promptly handed Mrs. Chukwuegbunam over to the police. 

Muslim leaders in Ondo State have expressed their dissatisfaction with what they perceive as the marginalization of Islamic faithful in recent government appointments.
