Plans are being perfected for President Bola Tinubu to travel to China by the first week of September 2024.

According to the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, the trip will afford Tinubu an opportunity to meet with the Prime Minister, Xi Jinping, during which bilateral matters will be discussed.

Tinubu will also meet with the management of China’s construction giants, the Chinese Rail Construction Company (CRCC) with a view to concluding contract terms for the Ibadan to Abuja rail project.

The Presidential spokesman also explained that the trip will attract other foreign direct investment to Nigeria, especially in the areas of agriculture, power, commerce and communications, as several MOUs would be signed.
