The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested the suspended South-West Zonal Coordinator of the women’s wing of the City Boy Movement, Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, over alleged fraud involving purported federal government appointments and contracts.
The EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, confirmed Tejuosho’s arrest on Saturday, saying she was taken into custody on September 8, 2026.
“She is in our custody,” Oyewale reportedly said.
The development came about five months after the anti-graft agency declared the 41-year-old Lagos indigene wanted over allegations of obtaining money by false pretence.
The commission had appealed to members of the public with information about her whereabouts to contact any of its offices, the nearest police station or other security agencies.
Tejuosho had earlier been questioned by the EFCC in June 2025 following complaints from individuals who allegedly accused her of collecting money from them after promising to secure federal government appointments and contracts.
According to the allegations under investigation, she allegedly presented fake appointment letters and forged documents to convince prospective beneficiaries that she could facilitate appointments and contracts in federal government establishments.
Tejuosho, who is also the founder of Haleems Integrated Services Limited, was subsequently granted administrative bail while the investigation continued.
The allegations later featured in a separate criminal case involving Gidado Ibrahim, who was arraigned by the EFCC before the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja in February 2026.
The amended six-count charge reportedly involved allegations of fraud, obtaining money by false pretences and forgery linked to transactions said to have occurred between August and October 2024.
The EFCC had alleged that the case involved about N603.4m and that Tejuosho was connected to the transactions while she was still at large.
Following her declaration as wanted in April, the City Boy Movement announced the immediate suspension of Tejuosho from her position as its South-West Zonal Coordinator of the women’s wing.
The organisation said the suspension was an administrative measure pending the outcome of the EFCC investigation.
It said the decision was taken to protect the movement’s reputation, credibility and ethical standards and to allow the investigation to proceed without interference.
The City Boy Movement is a political advocacy organisation that supports President Bola Tinubu’s administration and its Renewed Hope Agenda.
As of Saturday, the EFCC had confirmed that Tejuosho remained in its custody following her September 8 arrest.
The commission had not, however, announced a fresh arraignment arising from her latest arrest.
