Former Liverpool man, Dietmar “Didi” Hamann has predicted the outcome of the Reds’ Premier League clash this weekend against Chelsea.
He believes his former team would beat Chelsea when both sides meet on Sunday.
He said despite the fact that Chelsea are improving, the Reds will emerge victorious at Anfield.
Speaking to Wettbasis (via DAZN), Hamann noted Enzo Maresca’s men are using their squad well and gradually getting into shape.
However, the 51-year-old believes Liverpool will be able to get past the Blues.
“We will have to wait and see with Chelsea. They have a very, very large squad. They seem to have managed to slowly get a shallow plant to grow, but it is still very early days for them. So I definitely think that Liverpool can pull it off at the weekend,” Hamann said .
Liverpool are currently sitting top of the league table, having lost just once this season, while the Blues will go into the game fourth on the table, four points behind the leaders.
