    FUNAAB Appoints New Registrar, Bursar Amidst Commitment To Transparency

    The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has officially appointed Dr. Titus Adedeji Adeniyi as the new Registrar and Mr. Olukayode Osinuga as the new Bursar.

    The appointments were ratified during the University’s 110th Statutory Meeting of the Governing Council, held on October 9, 2024.

    The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdur-Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi, Odundun IV, the Aragbiji of Iragbiji Land, presented the letters of appointment to the new appointees during the meeting.

    While doing so, he reaffirmed the University’s dedication to transparency, stating that the recruitment process was thorough and based on merit, although delayed due to changes in the University’s Governing Council.

    “FUNAAB remains a centre of excellence and meritocracy,” HRM Olabomi remarked.

    “It is this unwavering commitment to standards that has positioned the University for greater success. We call on all stakeholders to work together to sustain and further elevate the University’s achievements.”

    The Pro-Chancellor also commended the outgoing Acting Registrar, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Dawodu, for her dedication and service to the University, highlighting the smooth transition under her leadership.

    Meet the New Registrar: Dr. Titus Adedeji Adeniyi

    Dr. Titus Adedeji Adeniyi, the newly appointed Registrar, comes with an impressive academic and professional background.

    He holds a B.Sc, M.Sc, and Ph.D. in Demography and Social Statistics from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife.

    His experience spans across multiple institutions, including his recent role as the Director of Human Resources and Development at Osun State University (UNIOSUN), Osogbo.

    Dr. Adeniyi is a distinguished member of the Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA) and the UK-based Association of University Administrators (AUA).

    He has also served on the Governing Council of UNIOSUN as a Congregation representative, further highlighting his depth of experience in university administration.

    Mr. Olukayode Osinuga: A Seasoned Financial Expert


    The newly appointed Bursar, Mr. Olukayode Osinuga, brings a wealth of experience to his role.

    A graduate of Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU) with a B.Sc in Accounting, Mr. Osinuga also holds an M.Sc from Obafemi Awolowo University, an MBA, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science from FUNAAB.

    Mr. Osinuga is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and an Associate Member of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS).

    His vast experience includes serving as Acting Bursar at FUNAAB and as the substantive Bursar at the National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), Ondo.

    His expertise in accounting and administration is expected to further enhance the financial management and planning at FUNAAB.

    Both Dr. Adeniyi and Mr. Osinuga are slated to assume their new roles on October 10, 2024.

    The University community has expressed optimism that these new appointments will further strengthen the institution’s capacity to deliver on its mandate of promoting academic excellence and contributing to national development.
