The Chairman of the United States, US, Federal Reserve, Jay Powell has vowed never to resign following the presidential victory of Donald Trump.
Powell vowed never to resign if Trump ask him to step down from his office.
He spoke during a press conference after Trump emerged as the next US president.
A reporter asked him if he would go if Trump ask him to leave.
Responding, Powell say “no.”
Trump of the Republican party had defeated Vice President Kamala Harris of the Democrats to return as US President.
Harris lost to Trump after she polled 226 electoral college votes while the former president had 295 electoral college votes.
