The management and staff of the Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Aro, Abeokuta, have expressed their condolences to the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Iziaq Adekunle Salako, over the passing of his mother, Alhaja Fadilat Anike Salako.

PLATFORM TIMES reports that in  a letter signed by the Provost and Medical Director, Dr. Afis Agboola, the hospital extended its sympathies to the Salako family, describing the late Alhaja Fadilat as a revered community leader whose impact was felt beyond Yewa Land and Ogun State.

Alhaja Salako passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the age of 95.

“Late Alhaja Fadilat Anike Salako will be greatly missed, not only by her immediate family but also by the larger society for her numerous contributions as a community leader and for raising an illustrious son like you, who has excelled as a physician and technocrat in Nigerian politics,” the statement read.

The hospital management prayed for Allah’s mercy upon her soul and for strength for the family to bear the loss.

“We pray that Almighty Allah, in His infinite mercy, grants Mama Aljannah Firdaus and consoles the Salako family,” Dr. Agboola added.

PLATFORM TIMES reports that the late matriarch is remembered for her dedication to family, community service, and contributions to societal development.
