A new twist has emerged on the suspension of Peter Babalola as member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Recall that Babalola, a former Chief of staff and former Governing Council Chairman of Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun was suspended by the PDP, in Ward 7, Irewole local government area for alleged anti-party activities.

But in the new twist, DAILY POST gathered that Babalola resigned his membership of the PDP.

He made his resignation known in a personally signed hand-written letter addressed to the Osun State PDP, Sunday Bisi.

The letter obtained by DAILY POST indicated that the Babalola signed the letter at about 12 noon on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.

Babalola in the letter said he was resigning from the party “after careful reflection and consideration of my personal values, goals and the political direction I wish to pursue.”

Babalola, who was a former Chief of Staff to Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola defected to the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, which changed to All Progressives Congress, APC, under the administration of Rauf Aregbesola.

He later decamped to the PDP before the commencement of the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke.

He was later appointed the Chairman of Governing Council of the Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun.
