In a relentless pursuit of justice, the Rivers State Police Command has launched a massive manhunt for Gift David Okpara, widely known as “2Baba,” in connection with the brutal murder of Divisional Police Officer (DPO) SP Bako Angbashim.
The DPO had been at the helm of the Ahoada Police Division in Ahoada-East local government area of Rivers State until his tragic demise during an operation carried out by Okpara and his criminal gang just last weekend.
Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has committed to a substantial N100 million reward for anyone who provides crucial information leading to the arrest of the elusive criminal.
In a recent update shared via their official platform, the Rivers State Police Command took to their X account (formerly Twitter) to reiterate the severity of the situation.
Okpara is now wanted for multiple charges, including conspiracy, cultism, and the cold-blooded murder of SP Bako Angbashim.
To further encourage cooperation from the public, a remarkable N101 million reward has been jointly pledged by the state governor and the Police Command for the capture of the fugitive.
In their statement, the Command stated, “This is an opportunity for you to cash out legally, The Nigeria Police Force has declared one Gift David Opara aka (2baba) wanted for the below offenses, 101 million naira bounty has been placed on him by the Rivers State Gov and The NPF. Give us info and cash out from us.”
With this substantial bounty and a united effort from both the government and law enforcement, the quest for justice intensifies as the search for Gift David Okpara, the notorious cultist responsible for the murder of SP Bako Angbashim, reaches new heights.
