The Senator representing Ogun West, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, on Saturday organized a special Ramadan prayer session in honor of President Bola Tinubu’s 73rd birthday.

The event, convened by Mr. Babatunde Osho on behalf of Yayi Progressive Friends and organized by the Ogun Muslim Community Society, drew over 2,000 Muslim faithful who gathered to offer prayers for the President.

The tafsir prayer marks the second edition of the special Ramadan prayer, with attendees expressing gratitude for being part of the spiritual gathering.

The Ogun Muslim Community Society, comprising members from Simawa, Ologbun, Ogijo, Agbowa, and Likosi, came together in a demonstration of unity, leadership, and the spiritual essence of Ramadan.

In his sermon, the Chief Imam of Simawa/Ologbun Ogijo and its environs, Alhaji Abdul Mojeed Jamiu, commended Senator Adeola’s support for the Muslim community, particularly his provision of Ramadan palliatives to help ease the fasting period.

He urged the faithful to sustain the good deeds inspired by Ramadan beyond the holy month.

The cleric stressed the importance of unity and continued spiritual growth, calling on wealthy individuals to emulate Senator Adeola’s philanthropic efforts in uplifting the less privileged.

Representing Senator Adeola at the event, Hon. Bolaji Oyeleye extended the senator’s appreciation to the clerics and Muslim Ummah present.

He reaffirmed Adeola’s commitment to supporting the Muslim community and fostering a culture of generosity and kindness.

Hon. Oyeleye also urged attendees to uphold the teachings and values embraced during Ramadan, emphasizing the significance of sustaining acts of charity and goodwill beyond the fasting period.

The event featured reflections on the lessons of Ramadan, with speakers encouraging congregants to remain steadfast in their faith and continue contributing to the well-being of their communities.
