Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has issued a fresh warning to Fulani herders suspected of involvement in killings and abductions in Oyo State.

The notice was announced by his spokesperson, Oluyomi Koiki, in an audio message  on Monday evening.

Koiki disclosed that Igboho has mobilised his men to raid forests in the Oke-Ogun area of Oyo State and expel Fulani herders residing there.

The activist accuses these herders of perpetuating abductions and killings in the region.

Speaking in Yoruba, Koiki stated, “Today is the 15th of July, 2024. This breaking news is issued around 6pm. All Fulani people living in Oke-Ogun, residing in the bushes, who are kidnappers and killers, are immediately ordered to leave.

“Sunday Igboho said he would continue his operations in Oke-Ogun, including Kishi and other communities within the area.”

He added, “The forests do not belong to the Fulani. The land belongs to us. Igboho is also waiting for the Obas in other parts of Yoruba land to speak up if they are experiencing similar attacks from Fulani people.”

Igboho reiterated his commitment to driving out miscreants preventing Yoruba people from accessing their farms, clarifying that he is not in conflict with any governor.

He emphasised that his men would target all forests occupied by herders across Yoruba land, pending approval from other Obas in Ondo, Ogun, Ekiti, and Osun states.

Koiki concluded by stating that Igboho’s men are preparing to storm the forests in Oke-Ogun, warning all Fulani herders to vacate the area immediately.
