Manchester United manager, Erik Ten Hag, has confirmed that Scott McTominay has left the club.
McTominay is on the verge of joining Napoli in Italy.
Both clubs have agreed a fee of around €30 million for the midfielder who came through the ranks at United.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s clash with Liverpool, Ten Hag admitted he would have preferred to keep McTominay.
He said: “I’ve mixed feelings because I would have preferred not to lose him.
“He has Manchester United in his veins, so I’m happy for him but I wanted him here.”
The Red Devils have already agreed a deal to sign Manuel Ugarte from PSG to replace McTominay.
