The University of Ilorin Alumni Association has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing three of its distinguished members into key leadership positions in the country.

The appointees include Mrs. Kemi Nana Nandap, whose tenure as Comptroller General of Immigration has been extended until December 2026; Mr. Babs Omotowa, appointed as a Non-Executive Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC), representing the North Central; and Prof.

James A. Aribisala, named as the pioneer Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti.

In a statement issued by the National President, Prof. AbdulRasaq Kilani, and National Secretary, Dr. Barakat Raji, the association expressed delight over the appointments, describing them as a recognition of excellence and competence.

The alumni body lauded President Tinubu’s decision to select individuals with proven track records, assuring him that the appointees would deliver on their mandates.

They further urged the trio to exhibit excellence in their respective roles and surpass expectations set by the President.

Extolling their professional pedigrees, the association encouraged them to uphold the institution’s slogan, “Better by Far,” in all aspects of their service to the nation.

The statement concluded with prayers for their successful tenure and a pledge of support from the alumni association whenever required for national development.
