Wema Bank, in a collaborative move with Enza group, a pioneering payment platform, has announced a strategic partnership aimed at revolutionizing the landscape of secure and cost-efficient payment solutions for businesses.

This partnership centers around harnessing the advanced payment solutions provided by enza group to fortify Wema Bank’s existing e-commerce payment capabilities.

In a recent statement, enza group highlighted that this collaborative effort would usher in a new era of enhanced service quality for merchants, coupled with fortified payment security, heightened service reliability, and substantial cost savings through optimized transactions.

Tunde Mabawonku, Wema Bank’s Executive Director of Retail and Digital Business, lauded the partnership, emphasizing that it would empower the bank’s clientele to explore a broader spectrum of payment alternatives, including an array of payment cards and e-wallet options.

Mabawonku also underscored that the newly streamlined and robust payment processes would facilitate swift and seamless transaction completions, thereby elevating the comprehensive customer experience for both transaction initiators and beneficiaries.

Damola Bolodeoku, Wema Bank’s Divisional Head of Payment Business, expressed the bank’s enthusiasm about the partnership, noting that as a digital trailblazer in the banking sector, the establishment was excited to join forces with enza group in introducing a groundbreaking e-commerce payment gateway solution.

Bolodeoku stated, “Through this alliance, we are eager to amplify our e-commerce payment capabilities and provide enhanced value to our customers across all avenues.”

The Chief Executive Officer of enza group, Hany Fekry, also shared his perspective on the partnership, highlighting the mission to streamline payments across the region, thereby ensuring seamless and secure transactions spanning the Middle East and Africa.

He further emphasized that this partnership with a premier Nigerian bank would accelerate the realization of that objective.
