In a significant collaboration, Wema Bank has joined forces with the federal government to kickstart the FGN/ALAT Digital Skillnovation Programme for MSMEs, designed to train two million youths and one million owners of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
Launched in September 2023, the program officially commenced on November 27, attracting widespread interest from business owners, professionals, and jobseekers keen on enhancing their digital skills for greater employability and business management proficiency.
The FGN/ALAT Digital Skillnovation Programme aims to equip participants with a diverse array of digital skills, including software engineering, product management, business analysis, cloud computing, product design, and more.
The Chief Executive Officer of Wema Bank, Moruf Oseni, announced the launch of virtual training for the first cohort, consisting of an impressive 270,000 participants.
Oseni underscored the transformative potential of the program, emphasizing the significant opportunities it presents for businesses, marking a crucial step towards a digitally skilled and empowered workforce.
