The Deputy Chief Whip of the House of Representatives and member representing Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Ayokunle Isiaka, has directed his political structure to mobilise over 48,000 supporters in the constituency for the victory of all All Progressives Congress candidates in the 2027 general elections.
According to a statement signed by the Office of Special Duties to Isiaka, the Reps .member gave the directive during an expanded stakeholders’ meeting in Abeokuta attended by voter mobilisers, party leaders, ward coordinators and grassroots supporters drawn from the 21 wards across Ifo/Ewekoro.
The directive is expected to place the federal lawmaker’s extensive grassroots structure behind all APC candidates, including Hon. Adijat Adeleye, who is listed in the statement as the party’s candidate for the Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency.
Addressing the stakeholders, Isiaka acknowledged the disagreements and perceived shortcomings that accompanied the party’s primary elections but urged his supporters to put the contest behind them and work for the collective interest of the APC.
He said the party’s cohesion and its ability to consolidate its achievements should take precedence over individual interests arising from the primary contests.
“Whatever shortcomings occurred during the primaries belong to the past. Our focus must now be on party cohesion and ensuring complete victory for all nominated candidates across the ballot, regardless of past contestations,” Isiaka said.
The meeting subsequently adopted a motion directing members of Isiaka’s political structure to work for all APC candidates in the 2027 elections.
The motion, moved by Hon. Texaco from Ewekoro and seconded by Hon. Olagunju of Agbado, Ifo, was unanimously affirmed by the stakeholders.
The supporters also resolved to transfer the political strength credited to Isiaka in the previous election to the entire APC ticket in the 2027 elections.
The statement described the bloc as a 48,000-strong voting structure, which Isiaka’s camp said would be deployed to support all APC candidates.
In another resolution, the stakeholders agreed to harmonise the various support groups operating within the political structure under one umbrella, the EasyLife Movement.
The move is aimed at creating a coordinated campaign structure ahead of the 2027 elections and eliminating duplication among the various support groups.
Isiaka also pledged to provide financial backing for campaign mobilisation, logistics and voter-engagement activities across Ogun State.
He charged ward coordinators and polling-unit mobilisers to return to their respective communities and intensify grassroots mobilisation for what he described as an “unbroken APC victory from top to bottom.”
The lawmaker urged the party faithful to maintain unity and ensure that the APC converts its grassroots presence into votes during the 2027 elections.
The meeting was attended by political stakeholders and grassroots leaders from across the 21 wards of the Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency.
