A young man identified as Owate Bode allegedly clubbed her mother to death with a hoe for refusing to accede to his request of N20,000. The incident occured in Aleto community of Eleme area of Rivers State on Saturday. The Federal Government says 160 women claiming to be Nigerians in Sudan have no passports to fly back to the country. The Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mustapha Ahmed stated this in Abuja on Sunday while briefing the press on the progress made so far in the evacuation of Nigerians from war-torn Sudan. No fewer than 25 drug suspects in different raids across known drug joints in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja have been arrested . The Centre for Women’s Health and Information (CEWHIN) with Support from Ford Foundation successfully completed a two-year project on Strengthening Access to Community-Based Psychosocial Support for Survivors of Violence Against Women and Girls including persons with disabilities in Ogun, Oyo, and Osun states. A 58-year-old founder and General Overseer of Seraphic and Sabbath Assembly, Lagos State, Azuka Kenrick Nnodu, and two others have been jailed for drug dealing. Men of Osun State Police command have recovered not less than 15 goats from two inter-state livestock robbers. The state Police Command has asked the residents of the state to check the state command headquarters in Osogbo, the state capital, for their missing goats. The police officers had, on Wednesday, May 10, arrested two men along the Odeomu-Sekona Road for allegedly stealing 15 goats in Osun State while making an attempt to move them to Lagos.
