In a distressing incident, unidentified gunmen have taken the life of Louis Enoshi, a Point of Sales (POS) operator hailing from Umuogudu-Akpu, Ngbo, in the Ohaukwu local government area of Ebonyi State.

The tragedy unfolded on Wednesday when assailants, demanding money, raided Enoshi’s residence in Ezzamgbo.

During the harrowing incident, Enoshi was fatally shot, and the criminals made off with his mobile phone, cash, and Firstmonie POS machine.

Nwaebonyi, a resident of the area, recounted the shocking event, stating, “In the early hours of today, 28th February 2024, at about 2 am; Mr. Enoshi Louis, a native of Ndiagu Orie of Umuogudu-Akpu Ngbo, was shot in his residence at Ezzamgbo in Ohaukwu LGA; Ebonyi State, by unidentified armed persons.

He died on the spot, and they made away with his Firstmonie POS, physical cash, and phones, leaving the wife, who is pregnant with two kids, devastated.”

Despite the gravity of the incident, Ebonyi’s police force has yet to comment on the matter.

Efforts to reach the Command’s spokesperson, Joshua Ụkandu, have proven futile, with unanswered calls and unacknowledged text messages.

The entire neighborhood remains deeply shaken by this unfortunate event.
